» Our Practice » Anti-Illicit Trade Practice

Many large multinational corporations and medium-sized companies have realized the competitive advantages of locating different parts of their global supply/production chain in the Asian region.  However, decentralization of the production process has weakened the companies’ control over product integrity. Companies in diverse product sectors, such as automotive parts, software, luxury goods, consumer products, cigarettes and medicines, are facing the problems of brand dilution and illicit trading activities.

Bryan Cave International Trade understands the globalized nature of counterfeiting operations and the difficulties involved in obtaining pertinent information in this area. We have assembled a team of former Customs officials who used to run anti-illicit trade operations to develop effective intelligence and strategies for clients in the protection of their intellectual property.
