Bryan Cave International Trade is boosting our service offerings with new additions to our team in Bangkok.

Mrs. Jantana Rittirut joins as Manager, Business Services. She leads the team for business services covering work permit and immigration matters, general corporate registration, company secretarial services, foreign business licensing and investment promotion. In particular, she advises clients on Thailand’s investment laws, corporate law, property law and condominium act, labor law and regulations, as well as provides assistance on other regulatory company secretarial matters. She assists clients in seeking investment promotion privileges for doing business in Thailand as well as in applying for incentives and privileges granted by the Board of Investment (“BOI”) under the Thai Investment Promotion Act. Ms. Rittirut also advises and assists clients in employment matters involving compliance with labor protection and labor relations laws, as well as in preparation of work rules, workmen’s compensation, social security, provident fund, etc. In addition, she advises clients regarding work permit and visa matters as well as permanent residence and naturalization. Ms. Rittirut is a qualified lawyer with a practicing license.

Mr. Ron Sirivanasandha is Assistant Manager, advising clients on international trade issues relating to multilateral trade rules, customs regulations and privileges, investment rules, and trade in services. He monitors the development of trade negotiations within the region and provides assistance in evaluating the consistency of government policies with World Trade Organization (“WTO”), ASEAN Free Trade Area (“AFTA”) and free trade agreement (“FTA”) rules. In addition, he advises and assists sovereign clients regarding multilateral, regional, and bilateral trade negotiations on various topics ranging from economic impact analysis to cross-cutting issues such as investment, trade in services, as well as industry-specific issues. Mr. Sirivanasandha was a former official of the Thai Ministry of Commerce. He served in the Department of Trade Negotiations covering Thailand’s negotiations in various areas with the focus on investment and trade in services issues. He was involved in Thailand’s FTA negotiations with Australia, the United States and Korea (within the ASEAN-Korea framework).

Mr. Ryota Suzuki is Senior Analyst and provides research and data compliance assistance relating to international trade, cross-border transactions, and customs rules and regulations in Thailand. He also works on customs matters, such as valuation, tariff code classification, duty refunds, free trade agreement developments in Thailand, customs privileges and Board of Investment (“BOI”) regulations and privileges, especially for Japanese clients doing business in Japan and Thailand. He has worked on customs review and audit projects, assisting to define customs exposure, identify import duty and excise tax liabilities and recommend measures to minimize such liabilities. In addition, he advises clients on optimizing Customs and BOI privileges, as well as assists in the application for such privileges, including ensuring that reporting to the Customs Department and the BOI complies with customs rules and regulations and BOI requirements.
