Bryan Cave International Trade has developed and interactive CD-ROM for the ASEAN Secretariat on "Rules of Origin in ASEAN".Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gGmbH under the ASEAN-German Capacity Building Project, the CD-ROM is intended to help ASEAN’s stakeholders – including government authorities and the business community – understand the rules of origin in the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA), the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Area (AKFTA) and the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP). The CD-ROM explains and compares various provisions in the FTAs, illustrates how to determine origin under the FTAs, and features a database on the applicable origin rules and preferential tariff concessions for goods. The CD-ROM can help businesses identify the best combination that these FTAs offer for doing business in ASEAN.
